                            A. P. Moller Singapore was established 8 March 1978 as "The Maersk Company Singapore" and started out with two container feeder vessels " Maersk Mango" and "Maersk Tempo".

                            At present we own and operate a fleet of 120 vessels with a total Gross tonnage of 5.1 million tonnes, which makes us one of the largest shipowners in Singapore.

                            The average age of our vessels is 3.3 years, which is less than half the average age of the world merchant fleet.

                            Today, we employ about 3,300 seafarers which include Officers, Ratings and Cadets. In addition, the International Cadet Administration for the group is operated from Singapore, handling over 1,100 cadets.

                            Our officers are international with the majority from India, Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar. Ratings are employed from the Philippines & India. Apprentices / Cadet Officers are from Singapore, India, Malaysia and China.

                            2008 : We took delivery of nineteen new buildings including one LNG Carrier, nine containers, one product, one chemical, one VLGC, two LPG Carrier and four VLCC vessels.
                            We also took over manning of sixty-four vessels including two VLGCs, two LNGs, twelve car carriers and fourty eight container vessels.

                            On 1st March, we took over technical management of Container Vessels

                            A. P. Moller Singapore underwent a change in management with Mr. Bjarne Foldager took over as new Managing director on 12 June 08.

                            On 1st September 2008, we achieved the 100 vessels mark, after taking over manning of 16 Maersk Ship Management vessels.

                            2007 : We took delivery of twenty two new buildings including fourteen containers, one product, one chemical, three VLGC, three VLCC vessels. We purchased two second hand product tankers Maersk Privilege and Maersk Priority

                            We sold four container vessel Sealand Value, Maersk Atlantic, Maersk Atlantic, Maersk Antwerp and two Product Tanker - Maersk Pointer, Maersk Pristine. We redelivered six Sealand container vessels to their new owners - Sealand Freedom, Sealand Voyager, Sealand Mariner, Sealand Express, Sealand Defender & Sealand Endurance

                            A. P. Moller Singapore was awarded the Ship Owner of the Year Award 2007 by Maritime Ports Authority of Singapore at the International Maritime Awards 2007.

                            We took over technical management of PCTC Vessels

                            2006 : Elisabeth Maersk, Emilie Maersk & Maersk Crest was handed over to its new owners. We took delivery of eight new buildings which included two Gas Carriers - Maersk Jewel, Maersk Jade, two Product Tankers - Maersk Producer, Maersk Promise, two pure car and truck carriers (PCTC)- Maersk Welkin Maersk Wizard, one VLCC - Maersk Nautilus & one 6,200 TEU container - Maersk Kowloon.

                            2005 : Maersk Pride was handed over to its new owners. We took over manning to six vessels Sea-Land Patriot, Sea-Land Integrity , Sea-Land Express, Sea-land Defender, Sea-Land Voyager and Sea-Land Endurance. We took delivery of six new buildings Maersk Phoenix, Maersk Princess, Maersk Bering, Maersk Willow , Maersk Progress, Maersk Pearl.

                            2004 : Maersk Eleo and Maersk Estelle were sold to its new owners. Emma Maersk , Maersk Princess , Sea-land Intrepid and Sea-land Lightning have also been sold. We took delivery of two new buildings Maersk Radiant and Maersk Pristine from China.

                            2003 : Maersk Geelong was sold to Maersk Line Limited. We took delivery of one (1) new building from Dalian, China (Maersk Princess). Evelyn Maersk was sold to its new Owners and we took over two M-Class Container vessels (Maersk Malacca and Maersk Merlion) from the A. P.Moller-Maersk (DIS fleet).

                            2002 : Maersk Tanjong, Sealand Pacer and Maersk Virtue were handed over to the new owners. We took delivery of one (1) new building from Korea (Maersk Geelong).

                            2001 : We sold 14 vessels, four bulk carriers (Maersk Tasik, Maersk Taikung, Maersk Tanjong & Maersk Tukang), one product tanker (Maersk Virtue), six ex-Sealand container vessels (Sea Lotus, Sea-Land Motivator, Sea Legend, World Lynx, Sea Lark & Sea Link and three single hull tankers (Maersk Neptune, Maersk Navarin & Maersk Nautilus). We also took delivery of two (2) newbuildings (Maersk Prosper & Maersk Pointer).

                            2000 : We took delivery of two pure car and truck carriers (Maersk Wave & Maersk Wind) and one VLCC (Effie Maersk). We sold two bulk carriers (Maersk Tapah & Maersk Teluk), one container vessel (Sea-Land Pride) and one product tanker (Maersk Marlin).

                            1999 : We took delivery of nine vessels, two second hand vessels (Evelyn Maersk and Emma Maersk) and seven new buildings (Elisabeth Maersk, Emilie Maersk, Maersk Pride, Maersk Prime, Maersk Antwerp, Maersk Aberdeen and Maersk Atlantic). On top hereof we bought 15 ex-SeaLand container vessels.

                            1998 : We took delivery of one new pure car and truck carrier from Japan (Maersk Teal) and two VLCCs (Maersk Estelle and Maersk Eleo) from the Copenhagen fleet.

                            1997 : One pure car carrier (Maersk Sky) and two bulk carriers (Maersk Serangoon and Maersk Sembawang) were sold. We took delivery of two new pure car and truck carriers from Japan (Maersk Tide and Maersk Taiki).

                            1996 : One pure car and truck carrier (Maersk Taiyo) was delivered from Japan and two pure car carriers (Maersk Wave and Maersk Wind) were sold.

                            1995 : The technical management was outsourced to A. P. Moller Copenhagen.

                            1994 : Two container feeder vessels (Thomas Maersk /Tinglev Maersk) were delivered from Japan.

                            1993 : Compass Transport was established and now (year 2001) owns two A-Class container feeder vessels.

                            1992 : Two product/crude carriers were delivered (Maersk Visual/Maersk Navarin).

                            1990 : Six panamax bulk carriers (Taikung-class) were delivered from Korea/Japan. Four container feeder vessels (Trein-class) were delivered from Japan.

                            1988-1989 : Nine vessels were purchased - three container vessels (Alva Maersk /Arild Maersk /Brigit Maersk),three product/crude carriers (Maersk Virtue/Maersk Nautilus/Maersk Neptune) and three pure car carriers (Maersk Crest/ Maersk Cloud/ Maersk Sky).

                            1987 : Four pure car carriers were delivered (Maersk Wind/Maersk Wave/Maersk Sea/Maersk Sun).

                            1981-1983 : Five Panamax bulk carriers were delivered to the fleet (Sentosa and Serangoon class).

                            1978 : APMS was established 8 March 1978 and started out with two container feeder vessels "Maersk Mango" and "Maersk Tempo".
